Typically my customers are doing 1 of 2 things:

1) they outsource their printing in color to Staples, Office Depot or a local printer or
2) they print them on a desktop color printer.

Regarding this customer as we listed out all his annual printing in color needs he only did about 500 color prints per annum. I consider this an exceptionally low color volume. OUCH!! In the situation of the company doing a large number of color copies and prints per month I would suggest considering a color copier. The quantity of color prints and copies do you do per year times whatever you pay per copy/print in a local printing shop versus what you should pay to try and do them inside the camera yourself color copier.

Knowing these numbers you should think about the added cost of a color copier versus a black copier. Your purchase price or lease payment will really be higher for just a color copier than a standard black copier however in many cases it's worth it.

Inevitably over the working day Monday-Friday our time is money i feel this can be a legitimate consideration when choosing to buy a color copier or even a black copier. In terms of local printers I have come across color copies/prints designed in the range of 15 to 35 cents each. With a Toshiba copier (which is the brand I sell) you possibly can make one copy or print for from 5-10 cents each. Where you would cave in this range is determined by what size color copier were talking about.
